Can you imagine working everyday training the best and the brightest to help the Department of Defense (DoD) complete mission requirements? CSRA is seeking talented, creative and resourceful Training Associates to instruct in the Little Creek, VA area.

The Mission

The Military Sealift Command (MSC) provides ongoing sealift and fleet support services in furtherance of Department of Defense (DoD) mission requirements. The MSC Underway Replenishment Training Center (MUTC) is the critical hub for instruction on underway replenishment and maritime operations for fleet personnel, requiring an experienced and responsive industry partner to provide comprehensive, state of the art, and safe instruction to students.

What will you be doing each day?

We need skilled and creative instructors to train personnel in underway replenishment and other maritime courses of instruction. Courses are presented in a classroom, outside hands-on, or in a shipboard environment. In addition you will support the Engineering Technician and assist with equipment maintenance. When not on the platform, you will be updating lesson plans, instructor guides, and preparing for your next lesson.

What are the requirements for the role?

  • Associate’s degree in Education and three years of Underway Replenishment (UNREP), Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Ordnance Handling Equipment (OHE) equipment operations or 10 years documented experience in UNREP, MHE or OHE equipment operations

  • Associates degree plus three years with Magazine Sprinkler equipment, operations and maintenance or ten years documented experience with Magazine Sprinkler equipment, operations and maintenance.

  • Must possess NAVY Instructor certification or completed United States Coast Guard (USCG) Train the Trainer course

  • Previous experience training military and civilian mariner environment

  • Three years of Crane Operations or five years of documented experience in crane operations

  • Must complete Navy Master Training Specialist qualification prior to starting position

  • Three years of Ammunition Management and Accountability or ten years of documented experience

  • Must maintain current Authorization to instruct NAVSUP P-805 Ammunition Sentencing Training course

  • Completion of Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Explosive Material Handling Explosive (NWS)

  • Must have a Secret clearance.
