MLT Systems Logistics Manager - Senior in Portsmouth, Virginia

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award anticipated to be in November 2017. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Clearance.

MLT Systems, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking qualified and experienced Senior Logistics Managers to provide professional logistics support services to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Command, Control, Communication, Computer, and Information Technology (C4IT) Service Center (SC). The logistics support services shall include logistics, supply support and planned maintenance development support services.

Description: The Senior Logistics Manager will provide clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to all lower level personnel. Communicates effectively (both oral and written) with all senior personnel as well as other contractors, Government, and military personnel. Ensures all processes comply with Government policy, regulations, and directives. Ensures subordinates carry out all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner per contract requirements. Must demonstrate expertise and leadership in the following work activities:

  • Computation of quantitative supply levels

  • Strategic, operational and transactional metric support

  • Return and reutilization support

  • Project reporting support

  • Support for business and financial management systems

  • Property management support

  • Inventory control support

  • Configuration management support

  • Internal controls support

  • Higher Level Assembly (HLA) management

  • Project/program management

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or other related discipline.

Experience: Must have at least 7 years of relevant experience. Experience and skills in managing logistics support functions, including provisioning; logistics support analysis; life cycle cost; component and system test and evaluation; support equipment planning, acquisition and support; validation of provisioning, sustainment and support technical documentation. Collaborates daily with customer(s) to determine specific needs and requirements and to counsel within the expert area, including overseeing task execution. Having prior USCG logistics experience is a plus. Candidates must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; demonstrated leadership and management skills as evidenced by previous work experience; and have a strong customer service orientation.
