MLT Systems Logistician I in Portsmouth, Virginia

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award anticipated to be in November 2017. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Clearance.

MLT Systems, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking qualified and experienced Logistician I’s to provide the United States Coast Guard (USCG) with professional logistics support services at multiple CONUS commands / locations:

  • Telecommunication Information Systems Command (TISCOM), Alexandria, VA

  • Operations System Center (OSC), Kearneysville, WV

  • Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology Service Center (C4IT SC), Norfolk, VA

  • C4IT SC, Oakland, CA

  • Command, Control, and Communication Engineering Center (C3CEN), Portsmouth, VA

Description: Logistician I’s will provide logistics analysis, planning, development, and life cycle support of logistics projects/tasks. Assist project/task engineering personnel in design and development of logistics support systems, including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA); Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation; supply support; Packaging, Handling, Shipping, and Transportation (PHS&T); and project life cycle logistics support. Required to work independently or may serve as team leader on various logistics projects and will be required to meet with all levels of management, program and technical personnel. Will identify, evaluate and propose improvements to logistics systems, develop/revise supply and logistics guidelines and instructions, and develop management reports.

Logisticians will be responsible for Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs), conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses and construct Maintenance Requirements Lists (MRLs) for identified systems. Logisticians will ensure that all development work performed under this contract is in compliance with referenced Military Standards (MIL-STDs), Coast Guard Instructions and work flow processes. Quality Control (QC) and validation processes shall be established and maintained to ensure the accuracy, currency, and compliance with referenced procedures for all MPCs, RCM analyses and MRLs.

Provide RCM analysis and associated required documentation on assigned systems constructing MRLs and assisting equipment specialists and other logisticians as required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in a Business or Management field, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience in logistics acquisition and logistics planning.

Experience: Candidates must be certified level II Reliability Centered Maintenance Analyst and have no less than two (2) years’ experience performing Reliability Centered maintenance; should have experience in the use of a variety of Coast Guard support databases such as ALMIS, AMMIS, NESSS, FLS, ACMS, CG-LIMS, Oracle FAM and SFLC Central.
