Audit Readiness Data Analyst

Key Role:

Provide audit readiness analytical support to Department of Navy (DON) to promote financial and audit gains through increased data integrity and analytical methodologies. Conduct qualitative and quantitative techniques and processes to enhance key financial processes effectiveness and efficiency. Extract and analyze data, including General Ledger transactional details to pinpoint data anomalies requiring investigation and opportunities to streamline complex processes through automation. Gather and interpret financial or operational data and develop recommendations and reports for management. Play a key role in supporting the implementation of work streams and initiatives associated with the job function. Act as a resource to managers and employees in the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

-1 year of experience with entering, cleaning, and conducting basic data manipulation and analysis

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including extensive use of Excel and Access

-Experience with data management using SQL

-Experience with data visualizations using Tableau, JavaScript, or Stata

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with VBA, Java, and Python programming preferred

-Experience with financial management, auditing, or the Navy

-Experience with designing and implementing Robotic Processing Automation

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to leadership

-Ability to be a team player, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in a related field
