Provides consultation in one or more areas for the design, development, testing, implementation, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
Serve as technical expert on development projects recommending alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Supports all internal activities and product development. Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
Demonstrates knowledge in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks with moderate supervision. May provide consultation on complex projects. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, other professionals in the group, and other internal groups. May have
interaction with personnel outside of the Company.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline with 3 or more years related experience.
