Job Summary: Operate a wide range of standard and custom developed manual machine tools both in our shop and at our customers’ facilities. Perform all aspects of the job including machine set-up, tooling selection, machine operation, and on-going measurement and dimensional inspection. You will be working from drawings, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions.

Job Responsibilities:• Set-up and operate a range of manual lathes, mills, boring bars, VTL’s and other standard shop equipment when performing tight tolerance machining• Use standard measurement instruments in order to perform quality control checks on parts in-process and upon completion• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner• Exercise care and safe work practices• Work with others at IPM and with our customers to adapt to changing technical and logistical requirements.• Other duties as assigned or required.Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.• Completion of a Machine Shop Technology program or minimum of five years experience as a manual machinist; or equivalent combination of training and experience.• Must be able to read and understand blue-prints and make own set ups from drawings. • Experience with manual machine tools is required.• Valid driver’s license is required.• Ability to pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug screening is required.
