CACI International IT Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Description:

CACI has an immediate opening for an Engineer in support of Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS). This individual will be responsible for full life cycle new systems development in a fast paced customer focused environment for the Navy's Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) applications to Navy ships and Aegis Ashore locations.


  • Six (6) years of experience in Engineering, Systems Analysis, Medical Systems, Information Assurance, Web Development, or Engineering Management, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements.

  • Background in working with shipboard network such as ISNS/COMPOSE/CANES, SubLAN, SWAN, and TSCE..

  • Knowledge/background with NMCI, NGENT, and ONE-NET.

  • Familiarity with systems engineering subjects/processes: requirements, architecture, interfaces, development, testing, CM, release process, system/application integration, installation/deployment, maintenance/support, etc.

  • Knowledge/background with DIACAP/RMF and familiarity with C&A.

  • Knowledge/background with IA security and computer defense: HBSS, ACAS, STIGs, IAVAs, CTOs, and GPOs preferred.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Resource will be interfacing with internal/external stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Familiarity with medical and medical software, preferred, not required

Note: Experience may be concurrent. Advanced degrees substitute for experience as follows: Ph.D. - five (5) years of experience; MS - two (2) years of experience.


Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
