External Job Description:

This position will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the Company’s SOX program (from scoping to execution and final reporting).


  • Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and management of the Company’s Section 404 processes including scope review, process documentation and identification, testing, and evaluation of effectiveness of key controls;

  • Follow up on the implementation of management’s action plans to address any identified control gaps;

  • Manage and update key control database;

  • Assist in communication of 404 status, developments, methodologies and other matters with/to the Company’s external auditors;

  • Use technology to continually improve team work flow and testing approaches;

  • Stay abreast of new accounting/auditing pronouncements and standards to gain an understanding of their impact on the Company’s 404 process;

  • Monitor and update corporate accounting policies;

  • Participate in external reporting and ensure public disclosure is complete and accurate;

  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or the equivalent in education, training and experience, plus a minimum of 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience. Master's degree and 4 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years (Bachelors) or 4 years (Masters) of relevant experience, including accounting and/or internal controls and/or Big 4 accounting firm;

  • CPA and/or CIA certifications preferred;

  • Experience with identifying risks associated with processes (risk assessment), identifying internal controls within a process and performing gap analysis;
