Aerotek Manufacturing Engineer in Newport News, Virginia

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve product quality and integrity.

Design, qualify, maintain, improve and troubleshoot high volume precision machining and/or precision grinding processes

  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with department members including department head, staff engineer, peers, shift coaches, shift technicians and hourly employees

  • Initiate and complete projects in support of quality improvement and problem resolution, departmental productivity, scrap goals and efficiency goals and environmental/safety goals

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering

Prior manufacturing and process design experience

Thorough knowledge of statistical process control, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis

Proficiency in office software required

3 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
