Candidate must have the following:
Recent experience in development of AutoCAD drawings for Naval Vessels
Recent experience in ship checking Military vessels (LHD/LHA/LCS/LPD/CVN/Etc.) in the hull structure / hull outfitting disciplines
Experience level with ship's hull outfitting and/or hull structure design on par with subject matter expert
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

3D modeling design experience utilizing tools such as CAD, CAM, Siemens NX, CATIA Ship Constructor, ETC. Experience with developing Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) hull structural / outfitting drawings the use of Intelligent Ships Installation Drawing (ISID), and experience with developing Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) hull structural / outfitting drawings with the use of Planning Yard Standard.
Currently holds a Confidential (or higher) Security Clearance. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one person lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry lap top computer.
