External Job Description:

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

This position reports to the Corporate Financial Accounting & Reporting (FA&R) Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) to prepare original financial information and assist in the preparation of financial statements.

Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  1. Prepare information to support external financial reports to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC);

  2. Prepare monthly consolidated flux analyses;

  3. Assist in month, quarter, and year-end general ledger close process;

  4. Prepare monthly corporate account reconciliations to support account balances;

  5. Support external auditor activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Accounting or MBA preferred. CPA is desired and it is highly preferred that a candidate should have at least a BS in Accounting.
