Currently, we are seeking excellent Transaction Processing Supervisor to join our team at 1434 Crossways Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23320 . This position is a mailroom position within a call center. Job Specifics:

  • This is a Full Time Permanent opportunity.

  • Shifts will be scheduled during our normal business operating hours anytime between 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday – Friday plus overtime when needed !

  • Applicants must have open availability to work any hours scheduled during business operations!

Functions:

  • Assists in planning and implementing department goals and makes recommendations to senior management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Directs the operations of a Transaction Processing department, which manages documentation processing, mail sorting, scanning, etc.

  • Responsible for the management and development of the transaction processing team, implementation of business processes, and final review of complex assignments and/or difficult internal issues.

  • May participate in the departmental budgeting process.

  • Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Works on issues of limited scope.

  • Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

  • Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.

  • Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility. Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups.

  • Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules.

  • A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit.

  • Generally supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, clerical).

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be detailed oriented.

  • Possess strong learning agility.

  • Ability to manage multiple small and medium scale projects at the same time.

  • Conduct training and ongoing career development of staff.

  • Handling and processing of highly confidential documentation

  • Strong computer skills to include Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail

  • Must be able to identify different documents and pay attention to details.

  • Knowledge of Garnishment and benefit documents preferred.

  • Scanning documents utilizing a high capacity scanner

  • Communicates appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner

  • Maintain transaction logs

  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a mailroom or a data entry environment

  • Experience with high capacity scanning equipment and processes

  • Flexible, punctual and adaptable traits

  • Effective organizational and communication skills

  • Solid experience with Windows Office software and PC skills

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Adaptable to change

  • Work in a highly restricted environment

  • Ability to work as a team

  • Data Entry Experience
