Engility Corporation is seeking GCCS-M Systems Administrator to support our SSC LANT - Maritime Command & Control Program Fleet Support program in Chesapeake, VA.
The candidates shall have technical credentials to provide system architecture designs and define key capabilities and performance requirements for Global Command Control Systems Maritime installations and Tier II product support.
The Systems Administrator plans for, designs, and oversees the integration of operating systems including server software modules, security levels, utilities, and third party products. They will participate in and oversee development of network topologies, physical layout, and communications configurations.
The Systems Administrator shall follow software installation experience and DISA system documentation experience in accordance to Configuration Management policies for SPAWAR. This includes but is not limited to all GCCS engineering, technical documents and technical drawings. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, multiplexers, firewalls, bridges, gateways, etc.
U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Level Security Clearance and current U.S. Passport
Must have experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting network, hardware and software issues associated the UNIX and Windows architectures.
Experience in proposing solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
Experience installing GCCS-M servers and GCCS-M clients.
Have working knowledge of supporting Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, VMWare vSphere, Solaris 10.
Working knowledge of Solaris zones and Red Hat Kernel Virtual Machines (KVM).
Experience creating and restoring hardware specific images.
Must be able to work well in a team environment and yet be productive working independently.
Must be a strong communicator, capable of building effective, productive working relationships with clients and co-workers. Able to meet task order schedule deadlines, which includes weekends and Holidays.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to become DOD 8570 IAT Level II compliant within 6 months of start date.
